Clash between people of Yilonaayili and Kulmanga took centre stage of Parliament today. A clash between the people of Yilonaayili and Kulmanga in the Sagnarigu District of the Northern region which resulted in the death of one person on Tuesday, the 12th of this month took centre stage on the floor of Parliament today. The long standing dispute over land between the people degenerated into a full blown conflict. In the ensuing confrontation, one person lost the life and several others sustained various degrees of injury. In a statement to express the concerns of the MPs on the conflict, the MP for Sagnarigu, Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini said the development is a great regret and concern to all peace loving Ghanaians. Majority leader Dr. Benjamin Kunbuor said in every society, disagreements are bound to happen but if they degenerate into violence it cause for concern. Minority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu urged the security agencies to be proactive. The Speaker, Edward Doe Adjaho has directed the Clerks at Table to submit the statement made on the floor to the Minister of the Interior for action to be taken on it. GBC
