University of Ghana to phase out all Diploma programmes in the next four years

The University of Ghana has decided to phase out all diploma programmes over the next four years.  

It says diploma programmes can be very well run by other tertiary institutions including the polytechnics. 

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ernest Aryeetey announced this during this year's congregation ceremony.  

He explained that it will allow the institution focus more on post graduate training
