W/R House of Chiefs to celebrate life of late Ahanta King

The life of the prominent Ahanta King and leading Campaigner against the slave trade whose head was returned to Ghana in 2009 is to be celebrated.

Otumfuo Badu Bonsu, was captured and beheaded by the Dutch and his head taken to the Netherlands for 172 years.  

The Western Region House of Chiefs and the Ahanta Traditional Council who announced to the media in the Western Region say a befitting funeral rite will be performed for him amid other activities lined up for the celebration.
