CAR Peacekeepers Face More Sexual Abuse Allegations

The UN has reported new cases of alleged sexual abuse and exploitation by it peacekeepers in the Central African Republic.

The UN mission in the CAR said it has identified seven new possible victims in the town of Bambari.

In a statement, UN investigators say they believe at least five of the victims were minors.

The mission says the soldiers implicated in the cases are from the Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of Congo, adding that both countries governments have been asked to launch their own investigations.
