Traditional Chiefs are advocating the setting up of a Second Chamber of Parliament to enable chiefs to contribute to the development of the country.
The Consulting Director of the Otumfuo Centre of Traditional Leadership, Leporwura Alhaji MND Jawula, stated this on the sideline of a five day capacity building workshop for chiefs in Accra.
He said since the constitution debars chiefs from active politics, the second chamber will offer them the opportunity to share ideas and expertise.
Chief Alhaji Leporwura Jawula also hints of an intended colloquium among chiefs within the African Sub-region early next year.
