Trial of GM Crops in Ghana in final stage

The Director of Bio-Safety and Stewardship for Sustainable Agriculture in West Africa, Prof Walter Alhassan says Ghana is following the required procedure for the trial of Genetically Modified Crops.
He said the country is through with trying the plants under Green Houses and three of the four crops are now at confined stages.
Prof Alhassan who spoke with Radio Ghana said after the confined stages, the plants will be released to different parts of the country under varied Agro-ecological zones.
