A Director at the Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO in charge of Nutrition, Professor Anna Lartey says the negative image about Africa when it comes to issues of malnutrition can be erased when African countries adopt a multi-sectoral nutrition approach.

She said this intervention should be mainstreamed into all strategic objectives for sustainable development.

Speaking at the 2nd FAO Africa Regional Nutrition Conference in Accra, Prof Lartey said African countries should not embrace consistent malnutrition as a normal condition but rather work towards its eradication.
