Rebecca Foundation donates to Bechem Government Hospital

Ghana's First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo
The Bechem Government Hospital in the Brong Ahafo Region recorded zero maternal mortality at the end of last month. The hospital hopes to have a blank sheet on maternal mortality by the end of the year.
The Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Agyei Darko made this known when the hospital received medical items from the Rebecca Foundation.
The items which include delivery beds, surgical drips, syringes, medication cups, endoscopy equipment is to improve healthcare at the hospital.
The Bechem Government Hospital is the fifth to be benefiting from the First Lady's foundation.
Dr Agyei Darko expressed appreciation to the First Lady for the gesture and promised the equipment will be put to good use.
The Director of Operations at the Office of the First Lady, Mrs Akosua Newman said the next beneficiaries of the medical items will be from Northern and Greater Accra Regions.
She said selection of the hospital is done according to the needs of the hospitals
