Pre-burial service underway for former Veep Amissah-Arthur

Pre-burial service is underway for former vice president Kwesi Amissah-Arthur at the International conference center.

Tributes from old students of th 69 year group of Mfantsepim school, (MOBA 67), and the National Democratic Congress.

MOBA tribute was read by the Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Area, Nana Kobina Nketsia V '

Former President John Dramani Mahama, Ministers of state, members of the clergy have filed past the body of the late Vice President.

The church service is being hosted by the Methodist Church of Ghana.




The former vice president passed away at age 67 on June 29, 2018.

He collapsed at the Airforce Gym during a workout session and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital.

Meanwhile Osu Cemetery Traffic Light, on the Lokko Street, Castle Road, from AU circle to Osu Cemetry Traffic Light roads are closed to the public .

Mr. Amissah-Arthur before becoming Vice President in August 2012, was Governor of the Bank of Ghana from 2009 to 2012.

From 1983 to 1986, Amissah-Arthur served as a special assistant to the Secretary of Finance and Economic Planning, Kwesi Botchwey under the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) government.

He also served as the Deputy Secretary for Finance in the PNDC government from February 1986 to March 1993.
