Another Matron arrested for alleged stealing of foodstuff meant for SHSs

Luck eluded a 32 year old kitchen staff of the SDA Senior High School at Asokore Koforidua in the Eastern Region for attempting to steal food items.

The incident took place while the staff and students were worshipping. The suspect, Kwasi Agyeman who was arrested by the Effiduase Police, appeared before the Cocoase Court today.

He was remanded into Police custody to reappear on Monday, December 18. Narrating the incident to Radio Ghana, Headmistress of SEDASS, Hilda Yeboah, said she was at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Koforidua SECTECH when she had a call that Agyeman had broken into a room and made away with some food items belonging to the School.

Madam Yeboah said she quickly went to the School and mobilized the boys to hunt for the suspect. She said though Agyeman took to his heels they later found some food items stashed in the bush.

The items include five cartons of tomato paste, two cartons of sardines, two bags of millet, a bag of sugar and 125 litres of oil.
