Committee on new regions ends hearing

The committee of enquiry set by the President to hear petitions for the creation of new regions has ended it hearings Tuesday December 5.

The overlord of the Mamprugu Nayiri, Naa bohigu abdulia mahami sherigu led the entourage to make demand to split the northern region into two.

Chairman of the committee, former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Allan Brobbey expressed gratitude to the petitioners but was quick to remind them that appearing before the committee is not a guarantee that their demand for a new region will be granted.
