President Akufo-Addo Expresses Strong Concerns Over Import Of Poor Quality & Cheap Goods

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has voiced strong concern over the importation of poor quality and cheap goods in to the country.

This practice he said undermines fair trade practice and loss of revenue to the State.

Speaking in Accra at the first Ghana Expatriate Business Awards, President Akufo Addo said a five member Governing Board of the Ghana International Trade Commission has been appointed to among other things Institute strong anti-dumping measures to protect the investment of Investors.

President Akufo-Addo said measures have been in place to grow the economy.

This include reduction in inflation, interest rate, reduce fiscal deficit and controlled domestic borrowings so as not to over crowd the private sector.

He said there will be measures to make Ghana the investment hub of West Africa.

He was grateful to the Private sector for choosing to invest in Ghana despite ups and downs in its economy.

He said his government will undertake a comprehensive policies to improve service delivery at the ministries, department and agencies.

The overall top business expatriate award went to Uniliver Ghana Ltd, Top woman CEO Expatriate, Abiola Bawuah MD, UBA and Top expatriate man CEO, Saeed Fabre, interplast
