KNUST condemns students for rioting

Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has condemned eight students from the University for their alleged acts of vandalism at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and other parts of Kumasi on the 25th November, 2017 during an entertainment event organized by a locally based private radio station.

The said students were arrested by the Asokwa Police but granted bail on the same day and handed over to the Tech District Police and KNUST Security Service for further investigations into the matter.

A statement signed and issued by the Acting Registrar in charge of the University Public Relations Office, Kwame Yeboah, described the alleged misconduct of the students as unfortunate, reprehensible, unacceptable, and condemnable.
