Government has been asked to, as a matter of urgency, set up the National Sanitation Fund, under the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Sector, to ensure a home-grown solution to the country's sanitation challenges.

The call was made by the Director of Policy Advocacy Programme at Send Ghana, Clara Osei-Boateng as part of key recommendations emerging out of an analysis of the 2018 Budget.

In a presentation at a dissemination forum in Accra, Madam Clara said the 2018 budget was silent on the National Sanitation Fund even though it was promised in 2017.
