An Accra circuit court has granted bail to the 11 years old boy who was among the 26 illegal Togolese Protesters who were arrested for unlawful demonstration in Ghana against the Togolese government.

The ascertainment of the accused person's age is what the police argued for keeping him but after counsel for the protestants also argued on the liberty of the alleged minor while police does the investigations to confirm the age, the court granted bail to the accused.

The alleged minor's bail condition is no different from the other 25 protestants who were granted bail in the sum of GH ¢10,000 with two sureties.

The accused persons staged a demonstration on the 28th of October without police permit at Kawukudi Park, at Nima in Accra and were subsequently arrested and arraigned before court.

The court presided over by Priscilla Mireku-Dapaah has adjourned the case to November 30, 2017.

On the said date, it is expected that a report on the confirmation of the real age of the boy will be provided by police medical personnel as ordered earlier by the court.
