The Public Utilities Workers Union [PUWU] has called for investigations into the possible abrogation of the contract, the Ghana Water Company went into to build a water desalination project to provide water for residents of Teshie and Nungua.

Speaking to GBC`s George Asekere on ‘Behind the News’, Deputy General Secretary of the Union, Richard Nyamber said the desalination plant will pose as an unbearable financial burden to the Ghana Water Company.

The Local Partner for the desalination project, Henry Ofori, however disagrees with the Public Utilities Workers Union, saying they have been ill informed about the whole project, hence the agitation to terminate the contract.
