UN says over 422 million people worldwide have diabetes

The global prevalence of diabetes has nearly doubled since 1980, rising from 4.7 to 8.5 in adult populations.

Diabetes can be caused by being overweight or obese.

It is a silent killer as it strikes without warning; attacking more than four hundred and twenty-two million adult populations.
