President Akufo-Addo Joins Ex-Service Men To Commemorate 72nd Remembrance Day

President Akufo-Addo laid a wreath on behalf of the government of Ghana


President Akufo-Addo on Saturday, November 11, 2017, joined Ex-service men in a wreath laying ceremony at the Christianborg War Cemetery at Osu in Accra to commemorate the 72nd Remembrance Day also known as Poppy Day.

The day is observed by Common Wealth Member states since the end of the First World War in 1918 to remember members of the Armed forces who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

President Akufo-Addo laid the first wreath on behalf of the government of Ghana.

Present were Ministers of State, Government Officials, Traditional Authorities and Veterans.
