Kumasi: Suspension of gas sale causing apprehension among consumers

The indefinite suspension of the retail of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in the Kumasi Metropolis is creating apprehension among consumers.

The private LPG refilling plants suspended their retail services on the advice by the Ghana LPG Association that all LPG Marketing Companies, operators and LPG Tanker Drivers Union shut down their businesses starting from October 18.

This is to make way for general maintenance of LPG refilling stations across the country.

There are fears that if the issue is not resolved as early as possible institutions such as schools which use gas for cooking could run into serious difficulties.
