Black Starlets To Decide Niger's Fate

Ghana will face African counterpart Niger in the ongoing FIFA U-17 world cup in India for a slot at the quarter final stage.

Coming from a 4 nil win in their last game against host India to top group A the Black Starlets are expected to add unfancied Niger to their tournament victims.

This will be the second meeting between both sides this year when they crossed swords at this level in the semi finals of the Africa Cup of Nations where Ghana prevailed via 6-5 on penalties after 90mins failed to produce a winner.

Niger managed to pick three points to advance to the this stage as one of the best 3rd placed teams in a deadly group which housed Brazil, European champions Spain and North Korea.

Though Niger have just a win in their last four (4) games the game promises to be very slippery and scary for both sides since a defeat will get you eliminated.

After climbing the India ladder smoothly, Coach Paa Kwesi Fabien and his charges will be hoping to break the wall of Niger at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai to see Ghana at the next phase.

Honduras treks to Kochi to face Brazil at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the other game.

All these games are live on GTV, GTV Sports , Uniiq 95.7 fm and all regional GBC stations.
