GWCL to go paperless by January 2018

The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) says it will fully go paperless by January next year. This follows the introduction of mobile money payment and delivering of bills through SMS and emails.

The company says customers can now sit in the comfort of their homes and pay their water bills.

Speaking at the launch of E-Billing and E-Payment in Accra, the Managing Director, Dr. Clifford Braimah said the company will start deploying smart meters next year that will allow meters to be read without entry into customers premises.

He urged customers to support the new directive by providing prompt feed back to enable the company improve on its service delivery.
