President Akufo-Addo promotes Police Officers

President Akufo-Addo, has upon the recommendation of the Police Council promoted seven Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCOP) to the rank of Commissioners.
The latest promotion brings the number of Commissioners of Police to fourteen.
A statement signed by the Director General of Police Public Affairs, ACP David Eklu, added that in addition, 31 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP), have also been promoted to the rank of DCOPs.
The newly promoted Commissioners are;
DCOP Akuribah Yaagy, Director-General/National Patrols;
DCOP/Rev. David Nenyi Ampah-Benyin Central Regional Police Commander;
DCOP Charles Kpapu Torkor Commandant at the Ghana Police Command and Staff College;
DCOP Maxwell Atingane, Director-General Motor Traffic & Transport Department,
DCOP Bright Oduro Director-General Criminal Investigations, Department,
DCOP Osabarima Oware Pinkro Director-General Research and Planning and
DCOP Isaac Ken Yeboah Ashanti Regional Police Commander.
31 Assistant Commissioners of Police have also been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioners and they include officers from the general police pool and medical professionals.
