The Bank of Ghana is currently monitoring four other banks with capital adequacy ratio below five percent.
The Head of Banking Supervision at the Central Bank, Raymond Amanfo said these four banks are beginning to show signs of recovery and he is confident they will not travel the path of capital and UT Banks.
Meanwhile, three other Banks have already passed the test of survival.
Mr Amanfo was speaking on GBC's Current Affairs programme ‘Talking Point’, which discussed the liquidation of the two banks and matters arising.
Also on the panel was the President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Rev Patricia Sappor. She was of the view that there is the need to employ professional bankers to be at key positions in banks to enhance their activities.
