The Daily Searchlight says, it is appalled by a statement attributed to the National Democratic Congress(NDC) by the Deputy Propaganda Secretary that voters who cast their ballots can stay at the polling station.  According to the paper, this has the potential of creating mayhem.  The Searchlight hopes in the last few days before the election, leading officials of political parties would desist from inciting the population to acts that would lead to violence.

The Accra Daily Mail looks at the recent violence in the Nigerian City of Jos and cautions Ghanaians against making unsubstantiated claims about a rigging plot between the National Peoples Party(NPP) and Electoral Commission(EC) in the elections.

The paper repeats it call on political leaders to enter the final week to the polling day with the message of peace and non-violence.  It says, the warning from Jos should be a matter of concern to all well meaning Ghanaians, adding that to be forewarned is to be forearmed.
