With less than a week to go until the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain (MAMA), Nigerian music fans are set for a foretaste of the Awards celebrations during the Lagos leg of the MTV’s ROAD TO MAMA concert tour on 18 November. Spotlighting artists nominated for awards at the inaugural MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain, the Road to MAMA concert boasts a lineup of the hottest African and international musicians, including Best Hip Hop nominee and US rap legend, The Game, Best Male/Best Live/Artist of the Year/Listener’s Choice contender D’Banj, Ghanaian nominee, Samini, (Best Live) and Naeto C (nominated for Best Newcomer).

Speaking at a press conference at Planet One, Lagos, Alex Okosi, Vice President & Managing Director, MTV Networks Africa commented, ‘The MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain is a pan-African ideal that supports talent across the continent. Not everyone can make it to Abuja, but we are thrilled that Nigerian music fans can join in the spirit of the show by seeing this inspirational nominee lineup performing at the Road to MAMA.’

Okosi also announced further performers rounding out the lineup at the MAMA Awards on 22 November:  Nigerian R&B duo P-Square, South African hip hop ‘royalty’, HHP and Jo’burg hip hop crew,  Jozi will perform at the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain in Abuja, joining previously announced artists 9ice, Asa, Cassette. D’Banj, Jua Cali, Naeto C, Ikechukwu, The Game, Flo Rida and Kelly Rowland.

Tickets for the ROAD to MAMA concert are available priced 5000 Naira from Planet One.   Tickets will be available on the door.
