Songo'o is the son of the former Cameroon keeper Jacques Songo'o, but
he played for France before switching nationalities just before the
Games.
Cameroon have a crucial qualifying match against Cape Verde in Praia on
6 September, as part of the campaign for the 2010 World Cup and Africa
Cup of Nations.
The Indomitable Lions are just a point ahead of their island rivals, with two matches of the campaign to go.
Cameroon coach Otto Pfister will be without the Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, who is serving a one match suspension.
Apart from Eto'o, the 21-man squad includes most of the players from the last home qualifier against Tanzania.
