Western region has lowest pottable water coverage
The chairman of  the  Board of Directors of the Community Water and  Sanitation Agency, James Adusei-Sarkodie says, the Western Region has the lowest coverage  in terms of small water and rural areas water  system in the  country.

The Community Water and Sanitation Agency is therefore putting in place measures to improve the water systems in the region.  Mr. Adusei-Sarkodie said this when members of the Board of Director of the agency paid a two-day working visit to the  region.

The visit was to enable them to assess the challenges facing water provision in the  Ahanta West  and Jomoro Districts. He urged them to keep proper records of their services and also work out measures to help them increase revenue.

A member of the board, Daasebre Oti Boateng who is also the Omanhene of  New Juaben, advised the  local boards  to improve upon their service.  This, he said will enable them to extend water to more communities in their districts.
