NPP outdoors running mate Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia
The NPP has held a rally at the Takoradi Polytechnic Park where it outdoored Nana Addo’s running mate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.  The flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo said the NPP is the only political party that has a credible programme for the development of the country.  He said even though President Kufuor’s administration has not solved all the problems confronting the country, it has laid a solid foundation for the new Ghana which he Nana Akufo-Addo is coming to build upon to move Ghana into prosperity.

Nana Addo said the NPP recognizes the multi ethnic and religious groupings in the country, that is why he chose somebody from the North to complement his efforts. President Kufuor announced that six to five million dollars has been secured for the construction of the biggest cocoa shed at Kajeberi near Apowa.  A sod-cutting ceremony will be held next month for the construction of the shed which has the capacity for one hundred thousand tons of cocoa.  Vice President Aliu Mahama also bore testimony to the rich credentials of Dr. Bawuimia. Dr. Bawumia lauded the achievement of the NPP government under the leadership of President Kufuor, saying this is unparallel since independence.
