Members of the Accra City Campus of the Tertiary Education Students' Confederation TESCON, of the New Patriotic Party have called on all party faithful and the general public to welcome the decision of the National Executive Committee NEC, of the party for the choice of a vice prersidential candidate.
In a statement signed by the president, Seth Adu-Adjei, it said the choice does not mean that the names that came up were not qualified or incompetent to partner the presidential candidate. Rather, it sees all of them to be equally competent and qualified to be Nana’s partner but at the end, only one was needed to be selected.
It urged all party supporters to control their apathy in order not to affect the unity which the party has gained over the years. By so doing this will strengthen the democratic nature of the party. Concluding the statement said Nana Akufo Addo and Alhaji Bawumia will give the New Patriotic Party NPP, a one touch victory in the December elections.
