ECOWAS carnival shelved
The ECOWAS Carnival which was originally slated for Accra this Friday to Sunday has been rescheduled for the 19th to 21st of next month.  The purpose of the carnival is to create an opportunity and platform for countries in the sub-region to exhibit their rich cultures through drama.  A statement signed by the PRO of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture, David Owusu Amoah said the carnival will bring out the rich diverse cultures of the various countries in the sub-region. 

The carnival which is being organized by the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture with support from the ECOWAS Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and NEPAD is further meant to emphasize the need for cultural diversity to be employed as a tool for Dialogue ad Development as against the overplayed Political and Economic Integration of Member States.
