Tic Tac steps up after Kangaroo
Tic Tac steps up after Kangaroo
Tic Tac is working towards his next album release

Since he released his last album, Accra Connection, which featured the now famous Kangaroo song in 2006, Tic Tac has been one busy guy performing on international stages and promoting the image of his country. The Kangaroo song turned out to be a success, particularly because of its association with the recent African Cup of Nations where on numerous occasions, the Black Stars of Ghana after scoring a goal danced the kangaroo dance. Not surprisingly, some politicians have joined in the dance, using it for their campaigns.

Accra Connection won Tic Tac the first ever MTV-Base’s ‘Making of the Video Artiste’ for Africa and also became the first ever Ghanaian song to make a significant climb on the MTV-Base top 10 chart.

According to Tic Tac, recently at the Royal Theatre in the UK, where the International Festival for Emerging Artistes (IFEA) took place, he had the opportunity to meet, perform, interact and trade ideas with 60 musicians from across the world.

“I’ve been quite busy”, he said. “I recently visited Nigeria for the Soundcity Music Video Award (SMVA) together with Nas from the US. I then had to go to South Africa to perform for the ‘Not in Our Lifetime Charity Concert’ sponsored by MTN with the aim of raising money for xenophobic attacks on foreigners in South Africa,” he said.

He told Showbiz that wherever he travelled, he made it a point to showcase Ghana the best way he could.

Thanking God for a successful career, Tic Tac said his fans should be on the look-out for his next album. He disclosed that the album will be a mix of hip hop, reggae and hiplife.
