Akan film producers share joy with Egya Koo
The Akan Film Producers Association has expressed gratitude to President Kufuor for nominating a leading member of the Association, Kofi Adu, popularly called Agya Koo, for a national award.  According to the Association, the nomination of Agya Koo for an award is an indication that the Presidency recognizes the contributions of actors to national development.

The Secretary of the Association, James Aboagye, said the 38-year-old Film Actor, Agya Koo, has been in the film industry for more than 10 years and has done a lot to market the industry both locally and internationally.  He said the awards are for anyone who has contributed to national development, irrespective of the person’s academic, social, political or economic background.
