Rajevac pleased with objective
Milovan Rajevac, Ghana's coach

Ghana's coach, Milovan Rajevac, says, he has achieved his objective of assessing the fringe players of the Black Stars following their goalless match with Tunisia on Wednesday night.

The Serbian fielded somewhat of an experimental team due to the unavailability of six key players including Michael Essien, and Sulley Muntari. Rajevac used this game to have a look at Andre Dede Ayew and Arab Contractors of Egypt midfielder, Samuel Kyere. There were also debuts for Samuel Inkoom and Samuel Yeboah in the second half while Kaizer defender, Jonathan Quartey, posted solid performance in his second start for the Stars.

The Serbian says the game has given him a firm idea of how the team should be form ahead of the start of the second phase of the World Cup qualifiers in March. "It was an important exercise as I have now given the fair chance to some of the players who were not considered in the past," Rajevac  told source. "It could have been a better one but, i am not unsatisfied with the performance. If we had scored it would have been much better. "We did not have many key players because of injuries but we also need a very strong bench so in the absence of the key players they can step in.

"Tunisia is a very strong side and they provided us with the test we needed. Now we must start preparing for the game against Benin."

Ghana will open its World Cup campaign in March when they take on Benin who were thrashed 5-1 by Egypt on Wednesday.
