Women challenged to unearth potentials

The Executive Director of the All Nations International Development Agency, ANIDA, Rev. Mrs. Rose Donkor, has challenged women to develop their God given potential and to contribute to society. She was speaking at the graduation ceremony for 70 women of the Women Development Centre of the All Nations University College in Koforidua in the Eastern Region. The Centre Provides education and entrepreneurial skills that aid women to access better lifestyles.

Rev. Mrs. Donkor who is also the founder of the Centre, said since women’s issues cut across all spheres of socio-economic and political activities, it is appropriate for them to unearth their skills and rub shoulders with their male counterparts. She said women should not feel inferior and intimidated in taking up top positions.

The National Director of the Department of women, Mrs. Franscisca Pobi Hayford, in a speech said in spite of all the odds against women in Africa, they have continued to survive. She expressed satisfaction that women are gradually being heard in nation building.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Kwadwo Affram Asiedu in a message said empowering and investing in women are some of the cost effective ways to promote national development.
