The Daily Graphic is not happy about the water shortages that have engulfed certain parts of the country.  The paper believes that it is the responsibility of Ghanaians to safeguard all natural resources, including water, to promote the well being of the citizenry. The Graphic finds it dishearten that this time round, the water shortage is not the result of low level of water in the dams but a mechanical fault.  The paper hopes that the Ghana Water Company will do away with the many excuses and explanations being offered and ensure that water flows through the taps.

The Ghanaian Times adds its voice to the call by the Northern Regional Police Commander, Angwunbutoge Awuni, for the Abudu and Andani factions to give peace a chance. The paper finds it disturbing, the revelation that the government spends two hundred thousand Ghana cedis a month on the upkeep of security personnel on peace keeping in the region. For a region that lags behinds in development, to waste such huge amounts of money on petty squabbles is unacceptable.  The Times hopes that the factions will put aside their parochial interests and work together for a quick resolution to the crisis.
