DCE calls on all to support development
DCE calls on all to support development
The East Gonja District Chief Executive, Alhassan Mumuni has stated that the myriad of development challenges confronting the district can only be addressed with the active support and co-operation of all.  He has therefore called on Assembly members, Chiefs, Civil Society Organisations and development partners to step up efforts at promoting the development agenda of the area.

Mr. Mumuni was addressing the first ordinary session of the Assembly at Salaga.  The meeting was to enable the new DCE to present an overview of the district’s programs and activities for the year, including this year’s District Assemblies Common Fund Supplementary Budget to the house for consideration and approval.  Mr. Mumuni said the development aspirations of the people can only be achieved if resources to carry out the development agenda of the district are met.

He said, revenue mobilization should be of major concern to the Assembly members.  Mr. Mumuni promised to run an open administration and co-operate with all stakeholders to bring the much-needed development to the district, devoid of partisanship.  He disclosed that internally-generated revenue of the Assembly as of June this year was GHC28,000,171out of a projected amount of GHC57,990.
