Activa Insurance takes-off  
Activa International Insurance Company, a leading Camerounian Insurance Entity has taken over the shares of Global Alliance Insurance Company, a Ghanaian-owned company with a 2 million dollar capital injection.

At a ceremony in Accra to unveil the new company, the Group Chairman of Activa International, Mr. Richard Lowe said the Company has re-positioned itself strategically on the insurance market to provide tailor-made needs to clients.

With Ghana being the new destination for global oil and gas various auxiliary services including transportation, banking and insurance are gearing up to embrace the sector, Activa International Insurance Company, one of such Insurance entities has decided to relocate from its Camerounian base to Ghana.

The Company has taken over the activities of Global Alliance Insurance Company to step its operations.

Management of Activa International is made up of experienced Insurance experts, who are committed to injecting fresh blood into the operations of the Company.

The President of the Association of Ghana Industries, Mr. Tony Oteng-Gyesi urged Insurance Companies to take full advantage of the country’s oil boom next year to make good returns on their investments.

A Special Advisor to the Minister for Finance and Economic Planning, Mr. Sam Mensah, commended the Board and Management of the Company for their initiative, adding that insurance is an important component for the country’s cash-inflow.
