Methodist Church Choirs awards distinguished members
The Accra Diocesan Association of Methodist Church Choirs has organized a special awards service to honour distinguished members.  The programme which took place at the Macedonia Methodist Church, Kwashieman saw 15 members receiving outstanding awards for their loyalty and dedication to the service of the Association since its formation in 1974.

Among them were renowned and veteran musicians like Professor J.Y. Sekyi Baidoo, Kweku Acquah Harrison and Moses Kinnah.  14 Diocesan officers including Esther Anowih, Moses Boaku and J.K. Arhin were also decorated for dedicated service.

The President of the Association, Paul Laryea, said as major functionaries in church service, members of church choirs ought to show discipline and lead exemplary lives.  He said, they must be spiritually strong since they play vital roles in the church.

Mr. Laryea cautioned members against destructive criticisms saying any criticism without an alternative suggestion is derogatory.  He extended an invitation to all Methodists with good voices to join the church choir saying the doors of the association is  pened to all.
