NDC assures a revamp of companies
The MP for Ningo Prampram, E.T. Mensah, says the NDC will institute mechanisms that will ensure prices of petroleum products do not go beyond GHC 2. To this end, the party will on assumption of power in 2009 reduce the current price of fuel from the over GHC 5 GHC 2 irrespective of the price of crude oil on the world market. Mr. Mensah was speaking at a rally at Zeenu in the Kpone Katamanso Constituency.

He noted that leaders of the NPP who tout property owning democracy are only interested in amassing wealth for themselves at the expense of the people who gave them the mandate. He noted that this year’s election present the opportunity for the people to vote the NPP out of power.

Speaking on the Ghana Telecom – VODAFONE deal, the MP for Ashiaman, Alfred Agbesi, said the NDC will revoke the contract when it assumes office. He said the contract has a lot of loopholes which undermine genuine business transaction and must not be tolerated by Ghanaians. Mr. Agbesi said the NPP government has succeeded in bringing what he called total hardship and massive unemployment among Ghanaians. He promised that the NDC will revamp most collapsed companies in Tema should it come back to power.

The Deputy National Youth Organizer and Special Aid to former president, Kofi Adams asked the electorate to be more vigilant and not allow the NPP to influence their vote. He said the NDC will probe persons who are suspected to be dealing in narcotic drugs and bring them to book to ensure a drug free country.
