Govt urged to invest in Afram Plains' agriculture  
Government has been urged to invest extensively in the Afram Plains to enable it to produce more for local consumption and export.  A patron of the Abomosarefo Youth Association, William Dzamesi who made the call said even though considered the bread basket of the country, the Afram Plains has been so neglected, the people can hardly fend for themselves.  Speaking at a youth forum at Donkorkrom, Mr. Dzamesi urged government to irrigate the area and subsidize agricultural inputs so that the people can produce more to feed the nation.   He encouraged the youth to go into agriculture since it is very lucrative.  Mr. Dzamesi adviced the people to stop felling trees in the area for charcoal saying deforestation is dangerous since it greatly affects the environment.
