As part of efforts to tap the talents of the youth, a programme dubbed Mr and Miss SSS will be held in Accra on the 17th of this month.  This was made known when the organizers of the programme Divine Channels called on the Director General of the GBC William Ampem Darko to solicit for coverage.  The Chief Executive Officer of Divine Channels Gideon Oyiadzo said it is to unearth the talents of the youth and build them to become responsible future leaders.

He said the programme is targeted at final year students in the Senior High Schools.  According to Mr Oyiadzo the contestants will be made to identify a problem and find solution to it.  He hinted that the contestants are 25 in number out of which 14 are males.  The winner of this year’s Mr and Miss SSS competition will receive 500 Ghana Cedis, a trip to Canada and have computers donated to his school.

The Director General of GBC Mr Ampem Darko expressed his appreciation to the organizers.  He noted that bringing students from different cultural backgrounds will make them appreciate other cultural values.  He said the Corporation is prepared to support the programme by way of coverage.
