Parent have been advised to invest in their wards’ education to enable them grow financially, socially and morally for the development of the country. This is because the future development of the country depends on sound education for its citizens. Proprietress of the Aggrey Early Childhood Development Centre, Mrs. Patricia Osei Apaw gave the advice at the centres Fifth graduation ceremony at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
She mentioned inadequate infrastructure and resource as well as negative perceptions about education as some of the challenges facing the development of the country’s education. She said government cannot single handedly manage education, hence the need for stakeholders to partner government to improve education. Mrs. Osei Apaw said the school has chalked several academic successes and appealed to parents to assist the school.
The New Juaben Municipal Assistant Director of Education in-charge of Basic Education, Victoria Obeng said education equips a child to become an asset to society. It is therefore important for all children of school going age to be sent to school.
