Ghana slip further in fifa ranking

The July edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking has seen Ghana drop four places to 20th on the world ranking table. Despite the drop, the Black Stars still clutched onto second position on the African ranking table. Ghana, lost a point total of 101 from the accumulated build up from the month of June. The recent European Championship has had a major effect on July's FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, changing completely the standings within the top 20.

Cameroon, who leapfrogged Ghana to the number one position last month were not affected by the changes as they hold onto the first spot. Egypt, Nigeria and Ivory Coast follow Ghana in that order.

Yet still, Ghana and Cameroon still remain Africa’s only presence within the top 20 as Europe continue to dominate.

New European Champions, Spain have taken over at the top followed by Italy with Germany and Brazil trailing in that order.
