GBC/Waves Partnership to promote eradication of poverty

Waves International, an NGO is negotiating a partnership with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC to come up with programmes that will create awareness on the need to eradicate poverty among the youth.  This came to light when the group paid a working visit to broadcasting house in Accra.

The Head of Programmes, TV Production, Mrs. Dinah Amoo noted that the youth in the country have ideas which when harnessed will help empower them with entrepreneurial and professional skills.  She therefore encouraged the youth to be focused in life since they are the future leaders of the country.

The Founder of Waves International, Ernest Davids said the NGO serves as a source of motivation for the youth in the 21 century.  He added that they choose GBC because it is the only station with a nation wide coverage as well as one with creative programmes that gives hope to the youth.
