A 46-member Christus Chorus concert choir from the Concordia University of Minnesota USA arrived in Accra on Monday evening on a three-week musical tour of the country. The choir is led by the Director of Choral Studies and Professor of Music at Concordia University, Dr. David Mennicke. Also travelling with the choir is the Executive Vice President of the Concordia University, Dr. Cheryl Chatman.
The Choir was met on arrival by the Director of the Lutheran Media Ministry in Ghana, Pastor John Donkor. Dr. Mennicke expressed delight in coming to Ghana for the second time and said he looks forward to a fruitful concert tour of the country. The Christus Chorus will stage two concerts in Accra and Cape Coast and three in Kumasi for free.

Delegates at a three-day workshop held at Nakpanduri in the Northern Region by the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Catholic Diocese and the Dialogue Advocacy and Good Governance Programme (DAGG) of the National Catholic Secretariat, have issued a ten-point resolution. The delegates representing community members, churches, and political parties in the Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District resolved to commit themselves to the use of non-violent means as a tool to achieving their goals and objectives.
Participants also resolved to facilitate the establishment of Peace Committees and Inter-Party Dialogue groups in their various communities, among others. They however called on the natives in the area, the Diaspora, stakeholders, and Civil Society Organisations including local, national and international organizations to support their efforts in the way of peace and development.
According to the participants, the Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District is well endowed with untapped human and natural resources which calls for a peaceful environment and unity for accelerated development.
