He said Muslim Communities and lag behind in terms of development. Alhaji Abubakar said this, when he addressed the Council of Muslim Chiefs in Accra at a colourful ceremony to congratulate him on his re-nomination as the parliamentary candidate for his constituency at Salaga in the Northern Region.

The Minister cited poverty, ignorance and conflicts as daunting challenges that must be overcome. He expressed his gratitude for the chiefs for the honour done him saying the fact that he received similar felicitations from the north shows the level of support he enjoys. The spokesperson for the council of Muslim Chiefs, Alhaji Ali Qadr English said the decision to congratulate him for his victory is because of his simplicity, openness and reproach.

According to him, Alhaji Boniface is down to earth and has been a frontliner in championing the course of humanity and the Muslim Community in particular. Alhaji English said for his hard work and exceptional facilities, he has no parallel in the NPP when it gets to the choice of a running mate to Nana Akuffo Addo the presidential candidate of the NPP.
