Ministry of Health sets up committee to handle fracas between FDA and Tobinco Pharmaceuticals
TOBINCO’s anti-malaria drug, G-Sunate plus suppositories was declared fake by the FDA in October last month. Since then the two organizations have engaged in a feud in the media, as well as the courts.
The Ministry of Health has set up a committee to look into the impasse between the Food and Drugs Authority and Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

The Committee will also investigate other pharmaceutical companies as well as Herbal Drug Manufacturers in the country on the potency of medicines they sell to their clients.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Tony Goodman, told Radio Ghana’s correspondent that the Ministry will do all it can to ensure the safety of people and maintain standards in the pharmaceutical Industry in the country.
