Car bomb in Libya capital Tripoli
A car bomb has exploded in the Libyan capital Tripoli, in the first such attack in the city since the start of the revolt that toppled Muammar Gaddafi’s regime last year.

It happened near military police offices. Security sources said one person, a Tunisian man, was slightly injured.

The country has seen several violent incidents in recent days but they have mostly been confined to the eastern city of Benghazi.

A police commander, Abdelaty Hassan, said there was no serious damage to the building. Their investigation was underway and they would work hard to figure out the plotters. God willing there would be good news, he said.

The Libyan Red Crescent is still working to secure the release of seven Iranian relief workers who were abducted by an armed group on Tuesday.
