The Daily Graphic commends efforts by the Police Administration to purge the service of officers who try to drag the name of the institution in the mud. It further lauds the IGP, Paul Tawiah Quaye for fulfilling his promise to weed out the bad elements in the service. The paper however appeals to President John Mahama's request that they purge the service of miscreants and deviants especially at a time when the country is preparing for general elections. The Graphic implores the service to deal ruthlessly with bad nuts if any wrongdoing is established against them so that the police can continue to rely on members of the public as allies in crime combat since fighting crime is the collective responsibility of all.

The Ghanaian Times highlights the need for the nation to decide on where future Presidents will be buried. According to the paper, the nation has travelled far and should therefore have a special resting place for its fallen Presidents and other heroes. It approves the idea of establishing Presidential Memorial Centres in the hometowns of former and current Presidents. Adding that since the country's Presidents are often nationalistic, they neglect their hometowns in terms of development and this is the surest way to attract development to such areas through tourism.
