Old Vandals expresses condolence to President Mills
The Old Vandals Association, OVA, has sent a message of condolence to President John Mahama on the death of Prof. John Evans Atta Mills.
The message signed by its National President, Alhaji Razak El-Alawa, said the news of the death of Prof. Mills was received with shock and disbelief by members of the fraternity but said they are consoled by the fact that Professor Mills had paid his dues and will go down in history as one of the greatest Ghanaians of his time.
The message noted that even though President Mills was reported not to be too well, his death was least expected at a time when elections were only five months away.
The Old Vandals said, it however takes consolation in the fact that his death has suddenly united the nation that appeared to have been divided along partisan lines and the political tension that engulfed the nation in recent times has suddenly disappeared.
Meanwhile, the Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional area has signed the book of condolence on late President Mills in London.
He noted that the late President's supreme attribute of humility will forever be interred in his bones.
